Interview Prep Tips

Uncategorized Apr 09, 2020

[00:00:00] Hey, how's it going? My name is Joesph Musa and today I'm giving you a couple of tips to make sure that you nail that interview.

So the first tip that I'm going to give you today is to make sure you're confident. Make sure that when you're on the phone you're asking the managers, "Hey, can you hear me clearly?" And if you're on a video, "Can you see me clearly?" And then especially if you're taking a phone interview you want to make sure that you're giving off that high energy.

That confident energy letting them know that you feel that you are equipped to do the job and execute with excellence.

Number two, research the company. I can't tell you how many candidates in my last seven years have potentially taken the interview done an incredible job and then they get to the end of the interview and the manager is like, "So hey what do you know about our company?

And they're like...

Don't be that person. Don't be that deer stuck in the headlights because it takes you 2 seconds to go on Google, type in the company, go to the About Me section and understand that.

Managers will appreciate the fact that you took time out of your day to research the company that you may potentially be a part of, so make sure to research.

Number three [00:01:00] make sure that you give real examples. When managers are asking questions, do your best to refer to the situation that they're talking about to real-life examples. If you've done that on a previous project make sure to bring that up. What that does is that makes it real to the manager so that you're not talking in some kind of hypothetical.

Oh, I think I could do this. It's letting them know, no I have done this effectively. And as a matter of fact, I have references. On a side note make sure you give references as well because again that helps to solidify everything that you've said during the interview.

Anyone can say that they're an astronaut who wrestles on the weekends and also boxes alligators. But again, if you have a proper reference that makes managers feel more comfortable with moving forward with you.

So once again, my name is Joseph Musa, and those are my three tips to make sure that you absolutely nail your next interview.

And again, if you want more tips, we've actually built a full course called the Interview Prep Secrets and that will make sure that you nail your next interview and get the job that you're looking for.
